Engineering Manager (Packaging)

Responsibilities:

Develop strategies and action plans to ensure performance and continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes for the packaging operations.

Lead management role on small, less-complex projects and administrative support role on larger, more-complex projects.

Responsible for safety maintenance and control (SAMACO) programs for plant equipment.Manage associates' performance and recruitment of key talents.

Preparation of annual budget, long term strategic and capital planning.

Spare parts inventory control and spare parts localization.

Coordination of key departmental activities.

Ensure maximum equipment availability.

Ensure the department focuses on equipment set-up, improvement projects, and equipment availability. 

Requirements:

At least 8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position, preferably in medical device packaging, heat seal technology and sterilization.

Preferably Managers specializing in Engineering.

Degree / Diploma in Engineering filed.

HR Shared Services R&Rs:

  • Ensure that the HR Processes and services are integrated i.e. they cover all the appropriate HR functions and other infrastructure functions. Aim at end to end services.
  • Coordinate with HR functions to ensure standard processes and services are effectively deployed as per HR SOP and Manager/ Employee handbooks
  • Communicate/educate and consult the users on the usage of these E-Frontier and HR core processes.
  • Institute and manage appropriate data collection and HR Metric reporting systems that will enable businesses succeed.
  • Regularly undertake Process Improvement projects, work out programs and other admin simplification activities.
  • Champion the employee portal  as a key platform for HR communication on process and policies updates
  • Explore outsourcing option on  appropriate admin activities leading to vendor selection and management  
  • Records management, related legal compliance and local HR information services
  • Work with Global on regional HRIT tools and platform standardization and transformation

HR BP R&Rs:

  • Provide HR advice and solutions to business units in alignment to business goals and objectives
  • Support integration project management for reorganization and structural changes
  • Manage HR support t business units covering employee relations, manpower planning and budgeting, performance and reward management, leave administration, attrition, staff engagement and communications
  • Lead HR initiatives and projects such as performance appraisal, resourcing planning and HR audits.
  • Support  the implementation and delivery of HR initiatives and programs
  • Manage and facilitate employee counselling, employee grievances and disciplinary actions
  • Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.

  • Generate cross country referrals facilitated via Global Links and local or overseas International Banking Centre;
