Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of sales & marketing team to accomplish organizational goals.
  • Responsible for initial and ongoing product knowledge training to all Sales & Marketing staffs and reporting.
  • Responsible for overall planning and coordination of product/material needed by Sales & Marketing training programs.
  • Research / Sketching & Designing of latest sofa design.
  • Support and understand new product development.
  • Develop marketing tools (product knowledge base) to support sales & marketing team.
  • Conduct product knowledge training and evaluation in the field for direct & indirect of company sales team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management.

Requirements:

The IFRC's Global Logistics Service (GLS) is a core function supporting the IFRC humanitarian action. Global Logistics Service Dubai Office - Global Fleet Unit (GFU) manages the vehicle fleet of the IFRC out of Dubai, UAE. An integral part of the GLS, GFU implements the IFRC's fleet management strategy and manages vehicle stocks globally in order to supply emergency and on-going IFRC and National Society field operations. GFU is responsible for revising and coordinating Vehicle Rental Programme (VRP) business plan and overseeing all VRP contract issues. Operational management at the Asia Pacific Zone level is delegated by GFU to the Senior Fleet Officer attached to the Zone Logistics Unit, KL (ZLU KL) and Asia Pacific Zone Office.

Senior Fleet Officer
Kuala Lumpur

Responsibilities:

This position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but operates in the Asia Pacific Zone as part of a global fleet management support at the zonal level. International travel is required when and where necessary. 

The main purpose of this job is the Implementation of global fleet management strategy and optimisation of the global fleet service quality, cost effectiveness and full cost return to meet the fleet needs of the IFRC, National Societies and services users in the Asia Pacific Zone

This role is an integral part of the global fleet management team and is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role carries responsibility for the co-ordination of the global approach to fleet management in the Asia Pacific Zone, maintenance of fleet management operating standards/procedures and the provision of expert support to the IFRC's Global Logistics Service users. This role will also be expected to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at a variety of governmental and humanitarian levels in the Zone. As such, this role requires excellent team working, communication skills and technical expertise.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, preferably in fleet and transport management
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in fleet and transport management
  • Experience in remote coordination and support of country fleet management staff
  • 3 Years of professional experience in general logistics, including warehousing, transportation, and procurement would be preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in fleet and transport management 
  • In-depth knowledge of import/export customs procedures in country and wider region
  • Required language(s): English
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Managers specializing in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent.
  • Full-Time and Contract position available.
