  • Leads the enhancement projects on AS/400 systems.
  • Monitors the proactive maintenance activities on recommended regularity.

Administrator Lead (Midrange/Mainframe)

To lead a team of administrators to maintain a range of Sun, Oracle & IBM Power Servers. The candidate should fulfill the following:

  • Responsible for managing the team shift schedule
  • Responsible for Installing, configuring and maintaining Sun Servers (Solaris 10)
  • Proficiency in supporting various sun and oracle hardware running Solaris operating system on SPARC & Intel Platform.
  • Configuring and administering Solaris Zones and Containers on Sun Solaris 10 operating system.
  • Sun Virtualization, LDOM & Server Sizing.
  • Installation and configuration of HA environment using Veritas Cluster.
  • Configuration and administration of Sun and Veritas logical volume manager.
  • Writing shell scripts to accomplish day to day system administration task
  • Monitor all AS/400 operational and day-to-day support duties
  • Good understanding of MIMIX technology.
  • Recommend, manage, and apply PTFs, Operating System upgrades as necessary.

Requirements:

AS/400 Engineer

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in managing/administration of AS/400.

  • Experience with IBM iSeries - AS/400 operations, network servers and data communications required

  • Certification in ITIL and knowledge of using AS/400 (CLP & MIMIX) is an added advantage.

  • iSeries OS upgrade experience,(5.4 to 7.1) is an added advantage

  • Good analytical skills, high level of integrity and able to work independently
