Responsibilities:

  • This is a regional role and you will be expected to travel occasionally
  • You will assist the Publisher / Editor-in-Chief in planning and implementing the editorial calendar, covering press conferences, meeting and interviewing people and personalities, checking and verifying facts and figures, doing extensive internet research, writing business and lifestyle articles and proofreading of articles.
  • You will be expected to contribute extensively to marketing and business development ideas and strategies as part of the leadership team
  • You will work independently and on a very tight schedule
  • You will be expected to lead a small of team of editorial staff operating in several countries
  • You will occasionally provide support to marketing, advertising and event operations when so required

Requirements:

  • To excel in this position, you should have a minimum 5 years of editorial / reporting experience in a magazine environment. You should possess good business contacts and have a sound understanding of business concepts and local issues.
  • You should have your own car and be willing to travel to where the story is. As part of a small team, you are expected to work independently while leading a group of experienced writers and reporters. It goes without saying that you should speak and write impeccable English and have an eye for details.
