Lead Test Development Engineer/Manager 
         

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCY
o  Well verse in manufacturing test specification and test coverage design and able to propose test specification, test coverage, manufacturing test system design for mobile internet device and product.
o  Key expert in instrumentation, identify and recommend suitable test equipment for use in manufacturing to meet the customer product manufacturing testing and specification.
o  Good system integrator. Conducts system integration and debug wit repeatability study within given timeframe.
o  Knowledgeable in test hardware design, test interface box switching design and signal conditioning for repeatable measurement in mass manufacturing environment.
o  Able to analyze product design thru circuit diagram and identify appropriate signal and recommend test point provision for signal measurement.
o  Software competency and able to perform test software code changes and test equipment software driver development.
o  Fabricate and local source test fixtures and identify suitable local fixture vendor for fabrication of fixture with its conceptual design, ideas.
o  Experience in working with Android operation system, Android base device interface and Android app development will be an added advantage.
o  Support all factory pilot build, identify test issue list in each build and track issues to closure.

PERSONALITY
o  Good understanding of manufacturing processes, work closely with customer to gather product requirement, define manufacturing test processes and design manufacturing test coverage.
o  Good listener, understand customer needs, translated it into next level of details for execution, work scope is expected to spent 60-70% of time at customer site.
o  Possessed strong analytical skills, summarize and highlights complex test issues, brainstorm to provide ideas/suggestions, systematically identify root-cause and provide rectification.
o Good awareness of the business needs and work independently across different teams to implement and execute within the given timeline.
o  Self-motivated, drives continuous improvement on reported failures, through trend report analysis and metrics management
o  Works independently and effectively with little assistance/guidance, lead implementation from different cross-functional teams spanning across different geographical sites within the Company.
o  Keen to assist factory (when required) in identifying and rectifying test system related technical issues for product that are in mass production.
o  Maintain discretion and high level of confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to the company or customer specific.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
o  Bachelor Degree/Msc in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
o  5-8 years of working experience on test engineering, test development, or equivalent working experience in a manufacturing environment.
o  Possess software coding experience. C#, C++, linux and script programming skill.
o  Experience in mobile phone, wireless portable device manufacturing & testing, RF test in wireless product and Touchpad/Touch-screen device testing.
o  Experience in consumer product audio and optical modules testing will be an advantage.

o  Ability to Communicate clearly to cross-functional team within the company or external customer/vendors.
o  Response professionally/Technically to common inquiries from customers.
o  Effectively present information to internal teams and management and is a good team player.
