Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact for users of the BASF Asia Pacific Service Centre. He/she will take care of incoming requests through telephone, fax and email. He/she will serve BASF customers from several Asian countries within Malaysian office hours and public holiday calendar.
  • Responsible to reply and provide solutions to customers within prescribed service standards. He/she actively contributes to the goal of providing accurate services in a friendly manner at first contact.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with the team by working with the team, the Service Desk Senior Analyst and delivery teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Attend to incoming calls, fax and emails within the BASC Service Levels and ensure incoming requests are ticketed in the AHD on a timely basis.
  • Assist other team members during peak or selected periods as directed by supervisors
  • Work with team and supervisor to ensure adequate staffing of Service Desk at all times (incl Malaysian public holidays if required)
  • Ensure timely attendance, leave planning and effective utilisation of stipulated break times.
  • To back up, assist with and perform task as required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma holder or certificate in business administration or university degree in accounting    
  • 1-3 years working experience
  • Experience in customer interaction required
  • Experience in a Shared Services or call centre environment is desirable
  • Experience in handling a ticketing tool desirable
  • Experience working in an SAP work environment is preferred     
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge:
  • Knowledge and understanding of Accounting Guideline and Principles
